SAN DIEGO SOLAR INSTALLATION PAMELA R.

The whole solar process was pretty seamless and the only thing I wish was a little faster was the inspection process. Of course that is not entirely in your control and I realize that and it is a little frustrating to have a $28,000 system on your roof and have to wait for the official inspections to use the system. Thank you for reworking your schedule after the rain to be sure that the few days I had off were still utilized despite the delay in the panel delivery. That flexibility was wonderful and I was so happy I didn't waste my days off and then be stuck trying to figure out when I could be off again for a rescheduled installation. Since I am in a new job days off are few and far between.
I also wanted to share with you my home insurance experience so you have this for other customers. Realizing every insurance carrier is different I confirmed it was actually covered by our company (before I signed the contract) and then sent the insurance rep the page of the contract showing the system details and cost. Apparently solar systems are considered a liability for some insurance carriers but they said mostly in areas where there are heavy winds and lots of snow. They just increase your dwelling coverage by the amount of the system so adding $25,000-$35,000 is not really much more expensive. They adjusted our policy and the panels only raised our policy annual rate a nominal amount which was offset by the discount from the new HVAC. Between the new insurance credit for the new HVAC and the adjustment to add $32,000 of coverage on our policy our annual rate is actually $30 lower per year. Taught me that insurance coverage is something people should not assume is there since all carriers are different but our addition was seamless. We use ANPAC insurance.
As hard as it was to see over $28,000 leave our bank accounts because it takes a long time to save that much money but I am pleased with the follow through and service you provided. Your actions matched your words and that is rare considering many tell you what you want to hear until they are paid then they disappear or their work becomes shoddy and they are poor to respond. Consistency and honesty are highly valued and for companies who benefit from referrals those who do so will definitely benefit from these traits.
Please share my words with your crew so they know I was happy with their work ethic and interaction with me. They included me in the installation process to get my approval on the layout and paid attention to details. A crew that works hard and don't sit around wasting time should be recognized and supported for their performance. Even the accidental drywall break was professionally addressed and you went above and beyond to compensate me for the inconvenience. That too was an admirable and appreciated response.
I am glad I responded to the ad in the paper because you never know what you'll get these days and this was one of our better decisions.
Thank you again
Pamela
